Ahhhhh . . . Sweet Relief!

Situation:  Bank Account -- semi-resolved.  Our kids only drank powdered milk from our food storage for two days, and that only because they WANTED to.  And they LIKED it.  (I'll admit, it's not half bad.  Whatever.)  However, in the spirit of fiscal responsibility, I thought I'd share some freebies I've come across.  Who doesn't love getting things for free?! Such as:

Free Books here.

They are mainly spiritual books written by Mormon authors about Mormon doctrine, but the ones I'm most excited about are the ones about parenting, specifically one about how to talk to your kids about maturation and sexuality.  I'm getting to the point where I need to make sure my kids know that we can have an open dialogue about those things and I could use some help.  And I love to get it for free!

Free Hairstyle Ideas here.

There is almost nothing I love more in the world than when my baby girl asks me to style her hair.  She has a really sensitive scalp and a really short temper.  Which means I don't get to touch the hair much anymore.  Last night she wanted rag curlers and today at church she looked sooo beautiful -- I mean she's always pretty, but today was something else.  We do a lot of fun up-dos when I have my way, but I could always use some inspiration.  Tonight I happened upon this fun site and learned how to replicate that cute french-braid headband thing a la Gossip Girl or Jennifer Anniston.  And who knew that you could curl your hair with a flat iron?!  I do now!  I'm sporting both on my own hair right now because I just couldn't wait until morning with my fingers tightly crossed to beg my daughter to please, please, please be my guinnea pig.  I always wanted to go to hair school . . . this is a fun alternative.

Free Fonts here.

I LOVE me some fonts people.  I REALLY do!  These are some of the greatest fonts I've ever found.  Yesterday I submitted my very own handwriting sample to be made into a font, which has been a dream of mine for, like, ever.  It's like a "bucket list" thing for me.  Truly.  Oh, I hope beyond hope they use it.  But, really, if you don't have a good, cute, go-to handwriting font (your own or someone else's) installed on your computer you simply MUST visit this site and pick one.  Or a hundred if you're me.  Don't judge.

Enjoy your freebies!!
