Wallowing
Forgive me if I don't answer my phone for the rest of the day. The phone calls I have received so far this morning have been such that I am not willing to risk answering another one. Because, really, what are the chances of it being someone with good news or kind words? Slim today. {Plus I have caller ID, so if you're friendly I'll call you back. . . . tomorrow. You wouldn't want to talk to me now anyway.} It's just one of those days. I'm completely overwhelmed with the circumstances of my life and I don't want to see or talk to anyone. I know it's ridiculous -- my life is pretty simple compared to most -- but sometimes I just really wish I lived by myself in a cave where no one wanted or expected anything from me. So I could wallow without feeling guilty. I'll be back tomorrow with a bright new outlook. Promise.

Question. Every time I see you update your blog, I think about your brother Casey. What's he up to anyway? Wife kids....that sort of situation. Does he answer his email? Will you give me his email?
I'm just wondering how he is doing that's all.
Ya know, keeping up with peeps that I once knew in old Virginia...
I LOVE this post. Keepin' it real is what draws me to a blog and makes me decide to follow. We've all been there my friend. I appreciate you saying it out loud. I've had some pretty cruddy days lately myself and I am all for you letting that phone ring off the hook. Lisa~

ReplyDeleteWe moved at the beginning of May! I need your email address so I can add you to my blog so you can see mine and see us! We miss you guys too!! It's been a tough move for us for a lot of reasons! That would be fun to plan a dinner date! Lets work on it!
