For Ri's 11th birthday this week he wanted to see the midnight premier of the new Harry Potter movie last night. Here we are waiting outside the theater at 7:30 p.m.
And still waiting at 11:00. { I have GOT to start carrying my real camera. The cell phone just isn't cutting it.} TOTALLY worth the wait!!!
Brent went to the Home Run Derby with a friend who had extra tickets on Monday. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have the All-Star game in our home town AND actually get to go. Do you love that the Jumbo-tron doesn't have spell check?!
Jose Bautista -- one of Brent's favorites right now. Go Jays!! {The fact that he took that picture with our dumb camera shows how good their seats were.}
B wore his Blue Jays shirt and got some respect from Ace.
D went to All-Star Fan Fest with the same friend and his son on Tuesday and came home wearing the taco-hawk.
Taco hats aren't no joke, bro.
Last week was Customer Appreciation day ay Chick-fil-A. And you know how we like Chick-fil-A around here. Wear a home-made cow costume for a free chicken sandwich and waffle fries?
You betcha'.
Before that was Cub Scout day camp with Dylan. Holy hot!! The first day of this {entirely outdoor}camp was the hottest day of the year here in AZ. 115+ degrees in the shade, with heat radiating from every single rocky surface. I wasn't cut out for that.
The boys did great, heat and all. D's favorites were archery and BB guns.
And I only had to pull over and toss my cookies on the side of the road once on the way home, so I guess it could have been worse. TMI? Just keepin' it real.
And here we are all the way back at Father's day. {D made that World's Best Dad trophy at scouts. His leader, Tammy, is one of the most clever people I know!}
I can't believe we didn't get a picture of the beautiful breakfast we prepared for him -- a "man"cake -- a stack of plate-sized pancakes with scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns in between and topped with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Dee-LISH!
Never let it be said that we don't do fun stuff for our kids around here. No vacation doesn't mean Summer Vacation has to be a bust!!

I am just green with jealous rage right now that Brent got to actually attend a home run derby. I would almost bucket list trade "run a marathon before I die" for that!!
