Spring Break Style at Dollar General

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's no secret that I'm not great at doing laundry.  While it was my new year's resolution last year, we can safely say that my laundry issues were not resolved in 2013.  I just had an epiphany the other day as I was sorting clothes.  I hate laundry because it is like doing the same thing over and over and over again.  I get so stinkin' tired of looking at the same old clothes week after week.  I need a little something to perk up my laundry-doing motivation.  It's high time we get some new clothes up in here!!

Also, we just had our Spring Break here in Arizona, so we are all desperate to put away the winter threads and break out some new duds.  Something bright and cheerful.  Luckily, at Dollar General we can give our kids' wardrobe a little makeover without breaking the bank.  I was pleasantly surprised this week when I was given the opportunity to shop Dollar General's new spring apparel and share it with you guys here on my blog.

Sydney, my 15 year old, is a huge fan of maxi-skirts.  They're just as comfy as yoga pants, but you look like you got gussied up when you wear one.  She was super excited about this pretty coral maxi and the lace cardigan to go with it.  I love the ruching on the sleeves!  I'm envisioning this outfit with a white tank top underneath the lace cardi and a bright pair of ballet flats, statement necklace and a top-knot bun.  Totes adorbs!  {That's what all the kids are saying these days, right?}

My boys are so easy to shop for.  These striped v-neck t-shirts are right up their alley.  Paired with their favorite jeans, they make the perfect no-brainer casual school outfits.  They also enjoy shirts with funny sayings, like the one Dylan, my 12 year old is wearing in the photo --" It's all fun and games until someone posts the video."  Hee hee.  You can't go wrong with a classic baseball-style t-shirt like the one Riley is wearing, either.

I got all these clothes for about $50!  My kids were thrilled with their new outfits.  On a side note, when I had three children, no one told me it would be a physical impossibility to take a photo in which all three of them look "normal" and are smiling.  Whatever.  Focus on the clothes here, friends!

Are you and your kids ready for some new spring fashion, too?  You can either shop apparel online or check out what's in stock at your local Dollar General store.

    Happy Spring, guys!

  1. I love the Dollar General Store as much as the next person, and I'm willing to shop there A LOT for certain things. I find that their clothes don't generally last more than a month though. I suppose for the price I'm getting a lot of use out of them, but I don't know. I'd be curious as what your experience is with that.

    1. This is my first experience shopping at Dollar General for clothing. I was a little bit dubious about buying clothes there, but so far so good. I'll write a follow up if things aren't as good as they seem!

Thanks for leaving a comment. I try to respond to every one, even if it takes me a little while!
