Year in Review Template

I've received several requests for a template for my Year in Review project and you know I always aim to please.  As always I created this project in Gimp so I'm not sure how that correlates with other photo editing programs as far as file types, etc...  In Gimp .xcf files are workable files with layers still in tact so you can move things around, add and delete elements -- unless your family is exactly like mine {two boys, a girl and a dog}, change the background color and add text to your heart's content.  Download the .xcf file here.  {I've received a request for .psd file for Photoshop.  You can download the .psd file here, but I don't have Photoshop so I can't check to make sure it works.  I'd love it if someone would let me know in the comments if the conversion was successful!}  Let me know if you need another file format and I'll do my best to oblige.  Oorrrr . . . if you're just too busy this time of year to mess with it, I will will create a custom year in review for you for a mere $10.  If you're interested, leave me a comment with your e-mail address and I'll get in touch with you right away to get all your info and set up a custom listing in my etsy shop.

I hope this helps some of you out there!  Have a great day!

Edited to add:  I've heard from some of you that you are having issues with File Factory.  If you follow the link from this page to that page and scroll down a little you will see two speedometer images.  Click on the one that says "slow download" and enter the word verification codes.  You'll have to wait for 30 seconds and then click the download button again.  That should work.  If it doesn't, please leave a comment with your email address and  which format you need {xcf or psd} and I'll send it to you.  Sorry!

********** The downloads ARE NOT WORKING at this time.  If you would like the template, please email me and let me know which format you need and I will send it to you.  If you are interested in having a 2012 version of the Year in Review created, please read this post!! ************

  19. Hi,

Which font did you use for your family's name right up top?

    Thanks!

  20. I'm pretty sure I got a virus from the File Factory site when I tried to download this. Just a heads up. Spent most of last night fixing it. Not sure if it was just the site or if your template download got hijacked, but it was nasty. I'm sad too because it's a great idea - thanks for trying to share! If there's another way to get the template, I'd love to have it!

  21. Download the PSD file with no difficulties. Thanks so much!

  22. I would love to know the fonts you used so I can match what you have already done.

    Thanks!

  23. Love this idea - the original and what you did to it to make it your own and am so excited to be trying it for our holiday letter! I think people will really like it. Downloaded both files successfully. I'm on a laptop and had to scroll down extra far to see the CAPTCHA box and after that I had to wait the 30 seconds and the download worked. But I have to say I really don't like the File Factory site. Stuff opened in other windows playing videos etc... I love the free content but is there any other way to download it in a PDF format (that can be converted to any other format)?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes please!! I will pay $10 to stop stressing!!! [email protected]! :)

  25. Thanks everyone for the awesome response! Fonts used were: Feel Script, Foglihten No.2, and Georgia. All are available for free if you google search the name of the font with "free download". Have fun with it!!

  26. Oops! Sorry it's Foglihthen No. 1 -- there is a difference.

  49. Anonymous,

I absolutely gave Amanda credit in the original post about this project. So sorry I failed to link back again in this post. She was very much my inspiration for this project and I am not trying to deny that at all. I didn't mean to offend anyone.
