Fighter Jet Mural Project

This week a friend of mine recruited me to come paint a mural in her son's bedroom as a birthday surprise. I was thrilled to be able to help out.  Her son is turning 5 and he was so cute.  When Brent and I showed up yesterday morning he was just leaving to go spend the day at his grandma's house.  He knew we were going to do something in his room, but he had no idea what.  It was like pulling teeth for his mom to get him out of the house.  That kind of excitement is contagious!
I love the way it turned out.  The black and white jet silhouettes on that turquoise wall look awesome.  He was super stoked about it, too.  {But he would have liked it a little better with an F-16 Eagle on it, he told me.  That kid knows his stuff!}  It was hard to get a really good picture of it since it was so big -- wall to wall, floor to ceiling -- but you get the idea.  His little sister requested a Rapunzel mural in her room when it's her birthday.  I'm in!

I'm going to be spending the rest of today and probably most of tomorrow sewing Austrian flag pillowcases and making 9 pairs{?}of lederhosen for Girls Camp.  Good times!
